The students, who are in their teens, were taking an exam when the school was attacked. The youths were abducted by unknown assailants and at least one teacher was killed.
Insurgencies by armed groups in the region, including the extremist movement Boko Haram, have led to the deaths of thousands of people.
Earlier this month, the Nigerian army rescued more than 300 people who had been abducted by Boko Haram from Ngoshe, a town about 110 kilometers from the school where the attack took place.
