Approximately 1,900 soldiers will stand along the route as the bier is carried from the palace to Oslo Cathedral, and then on to Akershus Fortress.
Approximately 1,200 soldiers will participate in the honour guard and military band, 200 will assist with flag-raising in the city and 100 will be tasked with firing salutes.
Several generals and admirals, including Norway's Chief of Defence Eirik Kristoffersen, will join the procession with the bier from the palace to the church.
During the funeral, the Swedish, Danish and British armed forces will also participate with a guard of honour, Brigadier General Gyda Ellefsplass Olssen said.
