325 Arrested at London Protest in Support of Banned Palestine Action Group

British police have arrested 325 people in connection with a demonstration on Saturday in support of the pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action.

According to the Metropolitan Police, most of the arrests were made because the people arrested had expressed support for the organization, which is banned and designated a terrorist organization by the British government.

The decision to classify Palestine Action as a terrorist group was made in July last year. It followed an incident in which several activists broke into an air base to protest Britain's military support for Israel during the war in Gaza.

The ban has led to a protracted legal dispute and will now be reviewed by the High Court, where a two-day hearing is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
