In connection with a match between Skellefteå AIK and Färjestad at the end of October last year, a 28-year-old man was reported after sending death threats directed at Skellefteå's team captain Jonathan Pudas.
The death threats were sent via social media.
Now the verdict has come against the man who is from Värmland. He is sentenced to day fines totaling 3,000 kronor.
Jonathan Pudas now hopes that more players choose to report similar things and means that it is not unusual for players to receive hate and threats sent to them, according to P4 Västerbotten.
