At least 28 people have been killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, according to the Hamas-controlled civil defense on Friday.
The people have been killed in separate attacks in several different locations in the area since Thursday evening. At least eight people are said to have been killed in connection with aid distributions.
In addition to the 28 killed in Gaza, two more Palestinians are said to have been shot dead by Israeli forces in two separate incidents on the occupied West Bank, according to the civil defense.
The Israeli military accuses one of the dead of being "a terrorist" who, at the time of the shooting, is said to have attacked an Israeli settlement. The other person is said to have, according to Israel, run towards a settlement with a knife in hand.
