A 27-year-old man is sentenced to 17 years in prison and lifelong expulsion after a murder in Olskroken in Gothenburg this summer, reports Gothenburg Post.

He is convicted of having stabbed a man in his 25s, who was seriously injured and died a few days later at the hospital.

In interrogations, the 27-year-old has stated that he was approximately one week before the stabbing assaulted by among others the murder victim. When the men saw each other again, near Olskrokstorget at the end of June, a brawl erupted. According to the 27-year-old, the other man was however already injured at that time.
