In the collision, one car went into the water and the other into a rock wall. Three people were in the car that went into the water. There was one person in the other car, who was trapped.
Three of those involved are being treated at Sahlgrenska Hospital.
"Two men in their 20s have serious injuries but are stable. One man in his 20s has life-threatening injuries," Fanny Edenstam, press communicator, told Göteborgs-Posten .
Another man in his 20s is being treated for minor injuries at Södra Älvsborg Hospital. The police have opened an investigation but have not yet determined a crime classification.
