The police responded at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday after a man, for unknown reasons, drove his motorcycle off County Road 711 at Kristdala, northwest of Oskarshamn, and died from his injuries.
The motorcycle and the surrounding terrain caught fire in connection with the accident, according to Barometern .
The police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
"We have seized the motorcycle, and we have a technical examination. Then we will see if anything may have been caught on road cameras or if someone may have made an observation during his trip earlier," police spokesman Jakob Palmgren told TT.
