The explosion occurred on the evening of November 26. It later became clear that it was a thermos bomb that had detonated. No one was injured.
The man was sentenced to ten years in prison for, among other things, gross public destruction for placing and detonating the bomb outside the villa.
He was also convicted of aggravated unlawful threats after firing at least one shot with a gun at a residential building in northern Örebro in December last year.
Two more men in their 30s and 60s were convicted of attempted arson on the premises in Örebro in December.
The 24-year-old was charged with instigating the crime, but was acquitted on that count.
