The announcement came late on Saturday, local time in Sweden, after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke on the phone with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to AFP.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called it a "welcome and constructive gesture" from Iran.
"It is a messenger of peace and will contribute to stability in the region," he wrote on X.
Earlier this week, Iran allowed ten Pakistani-flagged oil ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz - which US President Donald Trump called "a very big gift".
