At least 20 people are missing after violent protests in Indonesia in recent days, according to a human rights group.
The discontent was triggered by revelations of generous housing grants to politicians – almost ten times higher than the minimum wage in Jakarta – and escalated after a driver of a motorcycle taxi was killed by a police vehicle during a demonstration.
At least six people have been killed since the protests broke out last week and on Monday, Indonesia's president Prabowo Subianto announced that several economic benefits for the country's parliamentarians are now being withdrawn.
