A group of settlers reportedly attacked a farmer in the village of Mukhmas near Ramallah on Wednesday, leading to clashes.
The 19-year-old Palestinian, who also has American citizenship, was killed and several others were injured, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Israeli forces at the scene used tear gas, stun grenades and live ammunition during the clashes, according to a witness. The military says riot control methods were used, but no shots were fired.
On Thursday, the UN warned that increased Israeli attacks and forced displacements are raising concerns about ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and Gaza.
