Three teenagers broke into a man's residence in Vetlanda and stabbed him several times with a knife in January.

Now, all three are being sentenced in Eksjö district court, reports P4 Jönköping.

A 19-year-old – 18 years old at the time of the crime – is being sentenced to ten years in prison for attempted murder and aggravated burglary. A 17-year-old is being sentenced to closed youth care for two years and two months for the same crime, and a 15-year-old is receiving youth care for burglary.

SVT Jönköping has previously reported that one of the stab wounds led to lung collapse for the victim, a man in his 20s, who will now receive 254,000 kronor in damages.

The three teenagers have denied the crime. According to SVT Jönköping, it has emerged during the interrogations that a dispute over money was behind the attempted murder.
