The fire occurred in an apartment building on Kungsholmen in February. The smoke was heavy, and a 19-year-old man died.
One of his neighbors, a 25-year-old man, initially admitted to deliberately starting the fire. He later retracted his statement, saying it was an accident.
But the district court did not believe him. According to the verdict, the 25-year-old set an armchair on fire in his apartment.
He was sentenced to eight years in prison.
