Using instructions online, he had built a bomb and placed it at a high school in Rättvik in January this year. The bomb was designed to detonate in someone’s hand and was intended for an employee at the school, according to the indictment.

The 18-year-old had also manufactured two live firearms using a 3D printer at home.

Mora District Court has now sentenced him to 13 years in prison. He was charged with attempted murder of four people, but was convicted of attempted murder only against one person, as he is considered to have lacked intent to kill the other three.

The man is also convicted of, among other things, aggravated weapons offences, violations of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods and attempted aggravated destruction of public safety.
