"He is an 18-year-old man. There is no other person in custody in the case," prosecutor Henrik Olin told TT.
The person - who was arrested in Halmstad on Monday - is suspected of preparing a terrorist crime, serious involvement in a terrorist organization and public incitement to terrorism.
The investigation is being led by Säpo. Details about what happened are very scarce.
