18-year-old talent Rostbøll Norberg made her debut at the highest level in the EuroLeague this week with her Belgian club, Mechelen. Now she will also make her senior national team debut when Sweden faces Belgium away on November 12 and at home three days later.
Frida Eldebrink has also been selected for the Swedish squad for the first time since last summer's European Championship. The 38-year-old veteran made her national team debut 20 years ago and currently has 156 international caps.
The matches between Sweden and Belgium will be played during the European Championship qualifying window, but as two of the host nations, both teams have already qualified for the championship next June. Sweden will play its group-stage matches at Stockholm’s Avicii Arena.
