The investigation will determine whether the man can be sentenced to prison or whether he should receive forensic psychiatric care if convicted. The decision was made by Umeå District Court on Monday. The trial is expected to resume in August.
The man is identified as a leader within 764, an extremist and violence-prone network founded in 2021 by American Bradley Cadenhead.
The 18-year-old is suspected of three attempted murders, incitement to suicide, rape, aggravated exploitation of children for sexual posing, aggravated child pornography and aggravated animal cruelty, among other things. The crimes are said to have been committed online and there are victims in several countries.
