The 18-year-old is said to have killed his parents and stolen their money - to finance an assassination plot against the US president. He is expected to enter into a settlement today.

The 18-year-old man is accused of murdering his mother and stepfather, hiding their bodies and stealing from them.

According to court documents, he is believed to have shot his mother and stepfather in their home in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in February last year. He then lived with the bodies for weeks before fleeing across the United States in his stepfather's car. He took $14,000 in cash, jewelry, passports, his stepfather's gun, and the family dog.

He was arrested at a traffic light in Kansas in late February.

Authorities accuse the 18-year-old of writing a manifesto about assassinating US President Donald Trump. He is also said to have acquired a drone and explosives, and shared with others his plan to kill Trump and overthrow the US government.
