The 17-year-old boy took the train to Gothenburg. Two days later, he is suspected of having attempted to shoot a man to death on Hisingen. The boy is now being prosecuted for attempted murder - but is believed to have acted on behalf of someone else.

It was on October 13 last year that a man in his 20s was seriously shot in Hisings Backa.

Barely two weeks later, the 17-year-old boy in Kristianstad was arrested. The police believe that he received a murder assignment from someone else.

"We know that the accused arrived by train in Gothenburg – presumably to recon – two days before the shooting", says investigation leader Stefan Olofsson in a press release.

"We have also found digital traces indicating that the shooter received description information about the intended target from an instigator".
