A home care company had access to the card to buy food and now the police and the municipality are investigating whether any staff member can be suspected of the crime.
Right now we are looking at who has worked at what times, and comparing with the times when money has been withdrawn from the card, to see if there is a pattern, says Mats Lundgren at the municipality's HR department.
The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into card fraud against the elderly/disabled.
