There are almost 17,000 summer jobs available right now, says Alva Johansson, who is an analyst at the Employment Agency.
This year's summer job supply has been like the years before. A total of 130,314 summer jobs have been available in Platsbanken during the spring, which is slightly fewer than last year's 133,144. Just like in previous years, there are most jobs during the summer in care and nursing professions.
This year, nearly 30,000 summer jobs have been reported as nursing assistants, home care staff, home care nurses or in nursing homes to the Employment Agency. Almost 26,000 summer jobs as healthcare assistants have been reported, and also thousands of jobs for nurses, caregivers and housing support staff.
Of the jobs that are still available to apply for, a large part is in those categories.
If you filter on health and medical care, there are almost 12,000 available jobs, says Alva Johansson.
Other professions where there have been many jobs to apply for during the summer are in the restaurant industry, in stores and in the Prison and Probation Service.
The most reported summer jobs this year are in Västra Götaland County, 34,875, followed by Skåne with 12,223 jobs and the capital county Stockholm only in third place with 9,090 summer jobs.
