After the school shooting in Fagersta, the 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder and attempted murder. He is also suspected of preparing to commit murder in another case - but on Monday the Prosecution Authority announced that he is no longer detained in that case.
However, the suspicions against him remain, the Prosecution Authority states.
"We are investigating possible connections to other cases but cannot provide any information due to the confidentiality of preliminary investigations," says senior prosecutor Kajsa Frisk in a press release.
TT has been in contact with the Swedish Prosecution Authority, which is not commenting on the matter.
