For a reward of approximately 35,000 kronor, two young boys are believed to have carried out two explosions in the Gothenburg area at the beginning of October.

Just before 3 am, an explosion occurred at an apartment building in Partille. Barely four hours later, another explosion occurred near Angered center.

Both explosions were caused by hand grenades. No people were injured.

A 15-year-old is now being prosecuted for involvement in the incidents, and a 14-year-old boy is being accused of having carried out the double explosion in Partille and Gothenburg, writes Göteborgs-Posten.

We believe that the 14-year-old was the one who placed and activated the grenades. The 15-year-old waited at a hotel and was then the one who picked up the money after completing the assignment, says Deputy Chief Prosecutor Åsa Nilsson, who led the preliminary investigation, to the newspaper.

The police theory is that the teenagers acted on a mission from social media and were promised payment for their services. The accused are from Dalsland and have no connection to Gothenburg.
