A 15-year-old boy from Gothenburg is being prosecuted for attempting to persuade an even younger boy in Piteå to commit a murder in Malmö, reports local media.
The younger boy, who is of upper secondary school age, had seen on Snapchat that there were "jobs in Sweden and abroad", and then took on the task of carrying out a shooting in Malmö, writes Piteå-Tidningen. For this, he would, according to the suspected instigator, a 15-year-old boy from Gothenburg, receive 500,000 kronor.
The instigator booked a train for the boy all the way to Malmö, but when the taxi that had been arranged for him was to arrive, he regretted it. The boy then stopped responding to the chats with the suspected instigator, and instead the plans came to the attention of his parents and later the police.
The 15-year-old from Gothenburg is now being prosecuted for conspiracy to commit murder and two cases of involving a minor in criminal activity.
