The largest individual contribution - SEK 250,000 - goes to the steamship Östersund in Storsjön for continued work on a new steam boiler.
The Eidern in Södertälje will also receive a larger amount, SEK 200,000, for, among other things, replacing hull plating. The sailing ship Sunbeam in Stockholm will receive the same amount for replacing the planking and frames in the stern.
Three of the grants have been distributed to completely new associations.
"Thanks to the new associations and their commitment, three ships that have not been in operation for several years will begin to be used again. It is a great gain for the maritime cultural heritage in Sweden," says Karolina Matts, curator at the Maritime History Museum in a press release.
