At least 15 people have been killed in a landslide near Guinea's capital Conakry, according to a hospital source.
The landslide occurred after heavy rain in the Maneah area. Rescue workers have been searching for survivors on Thursday.
At least ten people have been taken to hospital in the nearby city of Coyah, according to the authorities.
–Significant logistical resources have been deployed to support rescue operations being carried out in close collaboration with the local population, says Planning Minister Mory Conde.
Landslides are common in Guinea during the rainy season which runs between June and September.
