At least 15 people have died in a hotel fire in central Calcutta, India.
Several people were rescued from the hotel's rooms and roof, says the city's police chief Manoj Vema.
The hotel had 88 guests when the fire broke out. The fire is now reported to be under control. About ten people were injured.
Fires are common in India where there is a lack of firefighting equipment, while safety regulations are often not followed.
