A local bus has veered off the road in Guatemala and into a deep ravine, killing 15 passengers and injuring at least 15 others, authorities said.
The accident occurred on a stretch of the Pan-American Highway near the city of Totonicapán.
President Bernardo Arevalo promises all necessary assistance to those affected. Three days of national mourning have been declared following the accident.
As of October this year, 446 public transport vehicles have been involved in traffic accidents in Guatemala, claiming 111 lives.
