The 14-year-old placed several thermos bombs in Hammarkullen in northeastern Gothenburg this summer – and was injured in the explosion himself. Now prosecutors have filed an evidentiary case against him, reports Göteborgs-Posten.

At half past three in the morning on July 5, the police were alerted to an explosion in Hammarkullen. During questioning, the 14-year-old said that he would receive up to 100,000 kronor in compensation for the crime.

"I received three thermos bombs in a black bag," he says, according to GP.

But when he placed the thermos bombs outside an apartment building, something went wrong and the boy himself was injured in the explosion.

Now the prosecutor has filed a charge sheet, as the boy is too young to be charged. He is suspected of gross public destruction and a serious violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.

Three more people are in custody on suspicion of involvement in the bombing.
