14 years in prison for hand grenade attack

An 18-year-old man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for throwing a hand grenade into an apartment in Örebro, local media reports.

The incident occurred in May of this year. The hand grenade is believed to have been thrown at the wrong apartment. The house is home to a man with connections to gang crime, but the grenade exploded in a woman's home.

The man is convicted of attempted murder. In addition to the prison sentence, he must also pay damages of 290,000 kronor.
