According to a ruling from the administrative court, the 12-year-old allegedly said he took on the murder "in exchange for some compensation," radio reports said.
The incident received a lot of attention as the boy is the youngest person suspected of a fatal shooting in Sweden. He contacted the police himself afterwards and has been taken into care by social services.
At around 11 p.m. on December 12, a man was shot dead in a car. Several people were in the car when it was shot.
