The newly elected President of the USA, Donald Trump's government, is considering sending 10,000 soldiers to the USA's border with Mexico, according to an internal customs and border protection document that American media have accessed.
It may also become relevant to use bases belonging to the Defense Department to accommodate migrants waiting for deportation.
Donald Trump declared a state of emergency at the border with Mexico shortly after taking office on Monday, where security is to be strengthened and the construction of a wall is to be resumed.
On Wednesday, the Pentagon announced that 1,500 soldiers will be deployed at the border to assist the border police.
