The downsizing is instead being carried out through retirements, redeployments and so-called voluntary terminations, Journalisten reports.
85 people chose to accept an offer to leave voluntarily, but in total around 100 people will leave SVT. Around 40 will be reassigned instead.
"It is and has been a stressful time with both worry and concern about colleagues who are leaving. I am grateful for the good dialogue and the responsibility that has characterized the entire process," says Åsa Barsness, HR and communications director, in a comment on SVT's intranet, according to Journalisten.
