Hungary threatens to block EU's new sanctions
Hungary's foreign minister wants to stop the EU's planned new sanctions against the Russians – including President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov – in order not to "complicate" the negotiations between Moscow and Washington. The Hungarian government under Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has previously called for negotiations on Ukraine's future and refused to back or delay military support packages to Kyiv.
