A youth football match for players under 15 was interrupted on Tuesday evening after an incident between a player and the audience in Storvreta.

According to initial reports, an adult person in the audience became upset over a verdict, which led to verbal arguments between a person from the audience and a match official.

The situation escalated and a player kicked in the direction of the audience, whereupon a person was hit by the kick and fell to the ground. No serious injuries are said to have occurred and no ambulance was needed.

The match was interrupted in connection with the incident and the police were called.

The police are filing a report regarding assault, but since the suspect is under 15 years old, the case will be handed over to social authorities for further handling.
