Four-wheeler stolen shortly north of Haparanda.
Under the morning, the police were contacted regarding theft of among other things a quad bike in a machine hall outside Haparanda. The unknown perpetrator/persons are supposed to have entered the hall and seized the vehicle. The crime is supposed to have occurred sometime during the night to Monday.
The police have been on the scene for a crime scene investigation.
Advice to reduce the risk of theft:
Park the quad bike in a locked garage. Garage or other location is preferably alarmed, preferably with a camera.
Request a warning on your vehicle via the Transport Agency. In that way, organized gangs cannot get information about which vehicles are registered at your address.
Cooperate gladly with your neighbors, help each other keep an eye out for unknown persons and vehicles.
Store car keys in a safe place, do not leave them right next to the front door or in the jacket pocket.
Use enhanced protection with tracking possibility in real-time, for example a GPS puck.
Mark the quad bike with theft protection.
