Reports have come in about explosions in Apalby, Västerås. The police have been dispatched to the scene with multiple patrols and one person has been taken to the hospital with an unclear injury status.

An area has been cordoned off pending technical examination.

Update, 23:50:

The case is being initially investigated as attempted murder and gross firearm offense. The person taken to the hospital, a man, was found outdoors with injuries suggesting a shooting.

The police are continuing to work through the night to gather and compile information, in order to create a picture of the sequence of events.

The classification of the crime can be changed during the course of the investigation.

Update, 20/9 09:58:

During the night, a number of investigative measures have been taken and on Saturday, the investigation continues with among other things, the collection and compilation of information. There is no one detained in the case.

The cordons at the scene were lifted in the early morning of Saturday.
