Under early morning, the police were contacted regarding a man injured on Sandbacka in Umeå. The man is said to have been subjected to assault. He is taken to medical care by ambulance. The extent of the injury is unknown.

The police arrest a man in his mid-30s shortly thereafter, suspected of the crime, which at present is classified as aggravated assault. After questioning, the prosecutor will decide whether he should be detained. 

The individuals involved are said to have known each other previously.
