The police were alerted on Sunday morning to a residence in Lindesberg where it was reported that a woman had been assaulted by a man.

When the police arrived, both the victim and the suspect were found in the residence together with two small children. The investigative measures led to the patrol apprehending the man suspected of assault and child peace disturbance.

The woman's injuries were not deemed to be serious.

After questioning the suspect, the prosecutor will decide whether the man should be detained or released during the continued investigation.
