A person is caught stealing goods from a store in central Västerås and tries to flee the scene but is caught by a security guard. A scuffle breaks out in the square before the police arrive. 

The suspect, a boy in his late teens, is taken in for a bodily examination and initially suspected of violent resistance and petty theft. The police also contact his guardian.
