Staff at a hotel in Lysekil report an ongoing break-in at their conference facility. Two individuals have broken in and stolen electronics and alcohol.

The perpetrators manage to drive away from the staff, who actively try to prevent them. On LV 162, the first police patrol encounters the fleeing vehicle. A pursuit begins, and eventually the vehicle drives over a spike strip that has been laid out.  

The journey ends in Håby, where the fleeing vehicle could not be driven any further due to several flat tires. 

Two people were arrested, and items believed to have been stolen from the hotel were found in the car.

They are suspected of theft, and the driver is also suspected of drunk driving and vehicle registration fraud, as the vehicle turned out to have false plates.

Further offences may be added during the course of the investigation.
