Starting today, the police are conducting a national traffic week aimed at detecting criminal activity on the roads, but the police work extensively with this type of crime throughout the rest of the year as well.

If you see anything suspicious, contact the police by calling 114 14. If it is an emergency, always call 112. Remember to provide as much information as possible.

Below is a selection of today’s traffic checks in Västerbotten:

Umeå Municipality

Three fines were issued and a report was filed during a traffic check in Brännland.

No issues were noted during the check carried out in Böle, Umeå.

Skellefteå Municipality

Forty-seven vehicles were checked in Hedensbyn, Skellefteå, and none had any issues.

A sobriety check was carried out on County Road 805 in Burträsk, and everyone who was checked was without any issues.

Everyone who passed through the sobriety check on Solbacksvägen, Skellefteå, was without any issues.

Lycksele Municipality

Everyone (27 drivers) who passed through the sobriety check on the E12 in Rusele was without any issues.

A traffic check was carried out on County Road 1005 in Björksele. Everyone who was checked was without any issues.

A traffic check was carried out on County Road 1004 in Vormsele. No issues were noted.

Robertsfors Municipality

North of Överklinten, a fine was issued to a truck driver for unsecured cargo.
