The regional police headquarters has handled between 22.00-07.00 a number of cases related to Östergötland County.

01:43 The police were alerted to a multi-family house in Norrköping due to a report that someone had poured some kind of liquid in the stairwell. When the police, together with the rescue service, arrived at the scene, there were no signs of smoke development or fire. Two people who were at the address were taken to the hospital with the help of a police patrol after they reacted to the liquid.

After the check, both were able to leave the hospital, unharmed. The roadblocks that existed were lifted at 03.36 and an investigation into attempted arson has been initiated, this classification may be changed during the course of the case.

Due to the secrecy of the investigation, the police cannot at present go into what kind of liquid it was. This will be shown by the investigation later. No person has been arrested in the case and no emergency services personnel have been exposed to the liquid during the course of the case.

Aside from this, the police have had cases of traffic offenses, game accidents, drunk driving, and various checks on their own initiative or after alarms from the public that have not led to anything serious.
