The incident occurred in connection with a police car that was standing and warning other motorists about a stationary truck when a passenger car drove into the police car. The two police officers were able to get out of the car and alert others to the accident.

The police officers are now at the hospital for a check-up. The driver of the car that collided with the police car, a man in his 45s, escaped without injury.

A report will be filed on reckless driving and bodily harm.
