An elderly woman in Årsta was called by a scammer on Thursday around 4:00 p.m. and tricked into handing over her gold.
The fraudster gets the woman to gather up her gold and put it in a bag during a phone call.
While they were talking on the phone, the doorbell rang. A young man arrived and said he had been sent by an insurance company. He said he wanted to see the gold the victim had gathered up. When the perpetrator got the gold in his hands, he ran away.
The victim thought the suspect would photograph the gold and return it to her.
The police have filed a report of aggravated fraud.
The police advise people not to open the door to strangers. Never give strangers information about BankID, gold in your home or bank accounts.
