The police have stopped and checked a farm tractor in Ladugårdsängen in Örebro.
Conversations came to the police regional command center about a vehicle in which a person was seen with a weapon. The vehicle was stopped and three people in their mid-teens were taken out of the vehicle and checked. In the vehicle, an object was found that turned out to be a toy gun. The people in the car did not point the toy gun at anyone, thus the suspicion of unlawful threats, which would otherwise have been the case, falls. The three people have been handed over to their guardians after educational conversations.
We want to remind you of the very inappropriate thing about carrying, showing or in any other way handling weapon-like objects in a public environment. The police will always act on alarm about weapons in a public environment and it is difficult and usually impossible to dismiss a weapon-like object as harmless from a distance. If a third party feels threatened by an object that is perceived as a weapon, the person who owns the object can be suspected and investigated for unlawful threats. Carrying a weapon-like object can create anxiety and in the worst case a dangerous situation.
