
Summary of the events of last night.
Police have handled a 50 events in Södermanland County between 10 PM and 7 AM. No serious violent crimes or serious events have come to the police's knowledge.
At least nine wildlife accidents have occurred in the county during the night. Elk, wild boar and moose. No personal injuries have been reported in connection with these events. The police remind that wildlife accidents should be reported to the state's wildlife immediately so that search hunters can be sent out. The location should also be marked. Not reporting a wildlife accident is considered poaching and leads to unnecessary fines. It is not illegal to collide with a wild animal, and there are also problems with insurance companies if the accident is not reported to the police.
22:50 Vandalism through fire, Eskilstuna
An alarm is received that a car is burning in a green area in Nyfors. Witnesses have observed an unknown man who is believed to have set fire to the car and then disappeared from the scene. The fire can be extinguished by the rescue service. A report of vandalism through fire is being prepared, at present there is no suspected perpetrator.

A vehicle is being checked on Highway 56 in Äsköping. The driver, a man in his mid-30s, shows signs of being under the influence and is taken for a blood test. He also does not have the right to drive the vehicle and is suspected of driving under the influence, in addition to unauthorized driving.

On Highway 56 just north of Långkärr near Uddens recreational area, a woman is hit by a car. She had herself been involved in a wildlife accident with an elk and left her car to mark the location when the accident occurred. The woman is not seriously injured and was awake and able to speak. She is taken to the hospital by ambulance. No report of traffic crime has been written at present.
