During the morning, the police were alerted to a single-vehicle accident with a car in Kalix. According to initial reports, the driver is said to have swerved for an elk and driven into a ditch.

Police are on the scene. The driver was required to leave a routine breath test and was sober. He is being taken to medical care for examination as he complained of pain. 

The car is to be towed from the scene.
