October 19, 08.05, Summary of the night, Jämtland County

The hours of 00-08, two people have been taken into custody for intoxication. The police have also carried out a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.

Here follows a selection of the night's events:

02:23 Assault, Östersund
Reports are coming in about an assault outdoors on Storgatan at 2 o'clock. Police are on the scene and working on the matter. Four men in their 20s are arrested, suspected of aggravated assault. Three men are victims, one of whom has been taken to medical care. The work of investigating the incident continues. A crime scene investigation is to be carried out and interviews with those involved are to be held. Prosecutors are contacted to decide whether the arrested should be detained or not.

A wild animal accident on E14 at Lockne, Östersund Municipality, has been reported to the police in the morning. There are no reports of personal injuries.
